What a month!!!

Hi everyone,

This month I had a lot of firsts. My first Rakhsha Bandan (indian festival where sister's honor thier brother's), my first Paryushan (Jain holy week), and first hurricane (Ike, for those of you who live under a rock). So here is how the month went. I got to go to Austin to tie a rakhi on my brother Shalin. I had to make sure it was blue because that is his favorite color.






Then was Paryushan where I got to get all dressed up in my Chanya Choli.

Boy am I tired!! - Sanya is 8 months old

HI everyone,

I had a really busy month and I am exhausted. I am sleeping in my crib in my own room every night now. I ate solids for the first time.














I went to Austin and I met Manoshi Masi and I went to Shalin bhai's 2nd birthday party where I met a lot of new friends. I liked playing with Jasmine this time too.






















I also got to meet papa's friend's from Florida (Sanjeev uncle & Niki aunti and Anand uncle and Sunaina aunti).
















I get to see my Dada, Dadi, Kaka, Kaki, & Ishita didi on-line every couple of weeks too.















I am looking forward to my first Rakhshah Bandan, Paryushan, & Navrathri and of course I am anxiously awaiting my new cousins!! Time for a nap, Bye!!

I am 7 months old now!!

Hi Everyone,

Boy did I have fun this month! I went on my first trip out of Houston and I went to Minnesota (Minneapolis/St. Paul) and hung out with my Kevan Mama & Ludy Mami. Here are some pictures from my trip. Later this month I will be going to Shalin bhai's b0day party so I am sure I will have a ton more pictures next month.

6 months old and lovin' life!!

Hi everyone,

So this month I have had a lot of fun. I have figured out how to turn really well and can scoot around so I can explore the house pretty well. My hair has gotten long and mommy keeps trying to put pigtails on me, but I keep pulling them out. Daddy has really improved his comedy act and has me laughing all the time (see the video below). I am 5 months old now!!

Hi everyone,

I am sorry I haven't written in so long but I have been terribly busy. Mommy has started back at work and I have been breaking in my new baby sitter. My Dada and Dadi went back to India and I miss them a lot, but Nana and Nani come by to visit a lot. Since I last wrote I have learned to sit up with support, I play with my toes, and as of yesterday I can TURN OVER!! I went from my back to my tummy and was totally surprised! Masi thinks it was a fluke, but I did it again on film to show you all my new trick. I will upload it soon. Not much else going on. Daddy has been going a little camara crazy so don't be too surprised by how many pictures we upload. Gotta go now. Don't forget to write to me at sanya.r.patel@gmail.com Bye!!

The first 40 (days)

HI everyone,

Sorry I haven't written sooner, but I have been busy eating, sleeping, and making diapers dirty. During the past few weeks I have learned how to smile and I love to play with my daddy. Dada, Dadi, and Nana play with me a lot too. I used to hate baths, but now I LOVE them. I love splashing around and getting mommy all wet just before she puts me to bed for the evening. I also trook my first official trip outside our house and I went to the temple (I am hoping my next trip is to my cousin Shalin's house). Thanks again to those of you who came by to see me this month and everyone is always welcome back. See you soon.
